We have over five homes right on the Guadalupe River where Trout Fishing is king! The trout are stocked beginning in November and the trout season runs through March of each year.

Birding has really been taking off in Central Texas over the last few years and the nature viewing destinations, as well as many of the campground locations and swimming holes, can provide you with many opportunities to gander at our fabulous flying friends.

Just as a reminder, be sure to always watch where you are walking while on your birding expedition. You wouldn't be the first person to trip over a log, back into a hole, or step off a ledge while trying to spot a bird.

Texas Hill Country and the Guadalupe Mountains have their specialties. Almost every state park and national wildlife refuge offers great birding opportunities. No matter where you visit in Texas, you are certain to be near some choice locations visited by birders from across the continent.

Each year outdoor enthusiasts enjoy fishing for large-mouth and small-mouth bass, Guadalupe bass, striped bass, white bass, channel and blue catfish, flat-head catfish, sunfish, and rainbow and brown trout.
